Chicago Bears-Themed Hallmark Christmas Movie Premieres This Weekend
Your husband may actually watch this Hallmark movie.
In what seems like an effort from Hallmark to get more men interested in their Christmas lineup, they have a "Holiday Touchdown" series that has featured NFL teams including the Kansas City Chiefs, the Buffalo Bills, and now the Chicago Bears.

Hallmark's 2026 "Countdown to Christmas" begins October 16th and among the movies will be "Holiday Touchdown: A Bears Love Story".

Current Chicago players to be in the movie include Colston Loveland, Cole Kmet and Ben Johnson. Bears legends in the movie will include Charles "Peanut" Tillman, Mike Singletary, Dan Hampton, and Connie Payton, wife of the late Walter Payton.
The Plot
In the movie, Avery Clark (played by Lyndsy Fonseca from "How I Met Your Mother") is a freelance reporter who knows nothing about football. She goes home for the holidays and ends up doing a feel-good story on Bears fan, Darlene. Darlene is getting ready to attend her 500th Bears game.
Avery connects with Darlene's handsome firefighter grandson, Matt (Robert Buckley from "One Tree Hill"), who teaches Avery what 'Bears nation' is all about.
None of that should surprise you.
The Premiere
"Holiday Touchdown: A Bears Love Story" is on Hallmark starting on Saturday, October 17th at 7:00 p.m. CT. It will be on Hallmark Plus starting Sunday.
The movie has a lot of Chicago elements (go figure) besides Soldier Field, including a fireboat cruise, Logan Square, and some scenes are at pubs in the area.
