Grammy Winning Country Star Set For the Buchanan County Fair

Officials from the Buchanan County Fair have announced the musical act that will be lighting up their stage this summer. The Independence event is always a huge hit for locals and country music fans alike.

On Monday, December 18th the news came out about another country star that will be coming to Independence this summer.

This July, Independence will welcome Eddie Montgomery of Montgomery Gentry to the Buchanan County Fair. The southern rock band has collaborated with artists like Charlie Daniels, Toby Keith, and some members of the Allman Brothers Band.

Montgomery and his collaborator and band mate Troy Gentry have gone on to win a CMA Award for Vocal Duo in 2000. After the death of Gentry in 2017 after a devastating helicopter accident, Eddie Montgomery set out on his own solo career.

When Can I See Eddie Montgomery?

Officials have confirmed that the country star will be taking to the Buchanan County Fair stage on Thursday, July 18th 2024 at 8:00 PM. Doors are set to open for the show at 6:30 PM.

Who Will Be Joining Eddie Montgomery?

The country star will be joined at the show by special guests southern rock band The Kentucky Headhunters.

Think of it as an early Christmas gift for the country concert goer in your life. Officials from the Buchanan County Fair confirmed that tickets for this summer show will go on sale this week.
