Jelly Roll is Making a Return to Iowa in 2024

One of the biggest artists in both country and music as a whole is making a return to the huge, multi-day music festival in Clinton, IA that draws a crowd of thousands.

After showing up and showing out in Dubuque on Q Casino's Back Waters Stage on August 20th, 2023, the multi-genre artist Jelly Roll will be returning to the Hawkeye State on June 6th, 2024. He will be one of several artists taking the stage for Tailgate N' Tallboys 2024 in Clinton, IA.

The gifted singer-songwriter has seen his career explode in the last year with his singles "Son of a Sinner," which won three CMT Music Awards, and "Need a Favor." Jelly Roll also released his debut country album, Whitsitt Chapel, on June 2nd.

While Jelly Roll has been making music since the mid-2010s, he started as a rapper before making the transition to country stylings. His lyrics are raw and unapologetic, often detailing his troubled upbringing, which included substance abuse and multiple incarcerations.

With his rise in popularity, Jelly Roll has sought to be a force for good. He's stepping up his efforts to donate to incarcerated youth as well as fund programs that offer young kids a second chance at a better life.

As of this writing, Jelly Roll isn't the only artist to confirm he'll be performing on the Clinton Riverfront for Tailgate N' Tallboys 2024. Bailey Zimmerman will also be taking the stage the following day, June 7th. Zimmerman is only 23-years-old, but his impact has been felt in the country world with his infusion of southern rock and blues sound into the country formula.

Zimmerman made consecutive splashes with his first two singles, "Fall in Love" and "Rock and a Hard Place," respectively. He followed those up with a 16-track debut record called Religiously: The Album, named after the titular song, which is currently taking off on the country charts.

Also confirmed to perform at the festival is Shinedown, a Florida-based rock band. Shinedown has been going strong since 2001, with popular songs such as "Second Chance" and "A Symptom of Being Human."

Keep in mind, Jelly Roll, Bailey Zimmerman, and Shinedown are just a few of the artists that have been confirmed for Tailgate N' Tallboys 2024 at this time. Last year in Clinton, IA, Tim McGraw, Jelly Roll, Gabby Barrett, Mitchell Tenpenny, Jackson Dean, and Chase Rice were just a handful of artists who performed.
