John Cena Spent Hours Coaching Wrestlers in the Quad Cities
Former WWE star and ubiquitous TV, movie, and pop culture personality John Cena made a surprise appearance in the Quad Cities this week, paying it forward to a new generation of wrestlers.
John Cena needs no introduction, but I'll give him one anyway. A WWE staple for 24 years, Cena is a 17-time world champion (a wrestling record). His larger-than-life personality, dry humor, and hulking physique made him instantly recognizable, and helped him parlay his popularity into an acting career.

John Cena Made a Stop in Davenport This Week:
If you happened to be in the Quad Cities on Tuesday, May 26th, specifically Davenport, you had something in common with John Cena, who stopped at Black and Brave Wrestling Academy and 392Caffe, per KWQC.
Cena was in Davenport to coach up some young wrestlers at the academy, which is owned by Davenport native and current WWE star Seth Rollins. Cena reportedly spent about five hours teaching, coaching, and answering questions, then hung out at the gym for another hour to give wrestlers who stuck around one-on-one instruction.
A Great John Cena Movie You Might've Missed:
Since the 2000s, John Cena has acted in a couple dozen movies. Initially working with WWE Studios on their film productions, Cena got tapped by Hollywood to appear in movies like Trainwreck as well as voice roles in animated films like Ferdinand. One of his true standout performances, where he was more than an action hero or hapless dope, was in a movie called The Wall, which came out in 2017.
The film largely takes place at a single, isolated location in Iraq, where two soldiers (Cena and Aaron Taylor-Johnson) find themselves cornered by an Iraqi sniper. Their only refuge is a small brick wall, in front of which they can crouch, but with limited mobility. It's a tense movie, and as of this writing, you can watch it on Amazon Prime Video.
