It's common knowledge for Iowans that celebrities like Ashton Kutcher and Tom Arnold once called the Hawkeye State home. Maybe less common knowledge is the fact that rapper Flavor Flav once tried to start a chicken restaurant in Clinton, IA, or that the American Gothic House still stands in Eldon, IA.

But now, Iowa is home to a new celebrity, who has been ubiquitous on TV, social media, and just about every medium you can think of for over 20 years.

The Des Moines Register recently revealed that reality TV star Kelly Osbourne and her boyfriend, Slipknot's very own Sid Wilson, presently reside in Iowa. Kelly is the daughter of rock-and-roll legend Ozzy Osbourne, and his wife Sharon, while Wilson has been a mainstay in a rock band that's roots reside in Des Moines.

On the latter note, it's not that much of a surprise that Osbourne has chosen to relocate her and her family to the state of Iowa. No less, it's a fascinating factoid. This was revealed a couple weeks ago when news broke that Wilson burned his face and arms in a bonfire accident on his home farm. Kelly Osbourne responded to a social media user asking how she liked living in Iowa:

A lot of people don't know this about Sid and I but we do actually live in Iowa. And I love being in Iowa. I love Iowans - Kelly Osbourne, per The Des Moines Register

Wilson sought treatment at the University of Iowa Burn Treatment Center, but was still able to perform at Slipknot's show at "Rocklahoma" in Pryor, Oklahoma over the long Labor Day weekend.

At this time, it's unclear where exactly in Iowa Osbourne, Wilson, and their son live. However, an employee of the Indianola steakhouse told The Des Moines Register that Wilson is a regular at the establishment, so that gives a morsel of a hint.

Osbourne has been a celebrity pretty much since she was born. She gained fame before she even turned 20, as one of the stars in the reality show The Osbournes. Since then, she's been on numerous shows, such as Dancing with the Stars and Project Runway Junior.

Meanwhile, Slipknot's origins trace back to Des Moines in 1995, and have a built-in reputation for their high-energy shows and aggressive style of music. The Des Moines Register also noted that they will be returning to the capital on Saturday, September 21st for Knotfest Iowa 2024 at Water Works Park.
