Resources Unite! Meet Josh Jasper

Sometimes people in the community need a leg up.  Then there are others who would like to help out those people but don’t know how.  That’s where Resources Unite comes in…

It’s always great to see Josh Jasper.  Way taller than me and a booming voice, this is a guy who knows how to get things done.

Josh is from Resources Unite.  Their mission:

We strengthen the Dubuque community by creating connections.  We connect people to volunteer opportunities and resources that lead to a happier and more engaged way of life.

Next Thursday, February 19^th, Resources Unite is hosting a burger night at the Asbury Eagle’s Club at 5900 Saratoga Plaza from 5 to 8pm.

You can stop by and grab a great meal for $7.50 (and kids 10 and under are just $4).  When you buy your ticket, you get to write your favorite local non-profit on the back and turn it in.  At 8pm when the burgers are done, Resources Unite will pull one ticket out and donate $1,000 to that group!  What a fun way to learn more about local non-profits and help out!

Then Thursday, March 26^th, join Resources Unite for the 2015 Dubuque Area Outstanding Volunteer Awards at the Grand River Center.

That night Resources Unite will award groups and individuals who make a difference in our community.
