Over the weekend we went out to Sundown Mountain for a special event.

Sundown was hosting their 'Fall Scenic Chairlift Rides,' which gave visitors a chance to take a beautiful ride on their chairlift to see the beautiful trees on the way down the hillside.

On the way down, I noticed a gorgeous stream at the bottom of the hill. How had I never noticed that before?

My wife pointed out that usually on the way down the hill it's winter and it would be frozen and covered in snow... so I've obviously never noticed. (My father said this is where the water comes from for blowing snow.)

It was chilly that day... but wow, what a view!

On top of the chairlift ride, Sundown was serving hot cocoa, hot apple cider, apple cider donuts and roasting smores at a bonfire! Kids were also encouraged to dress in their Halloween costumes to receive special treats.

While I normally don't like winter, it definitely got me excited for the ski season!

I know what you're thinking... Chris, why did you wait until AFTER the event to tell us about it. Well, truthfully my wife told me about it so I didn't have a chance.

But... let me redeem myself! On Sunday, November 8th, Sundown will be hosting their Open House and Ski show from 9am to 4pm. On top of that, right now you can take advantage of their full season and weekend warrior packages at a discounted rate.

Whether you're a regular skier or wanting to try it out for the first time... I would definitely suggest you visit their WEBSITE or FACEBOOK PAGE for more information.

Hopefully Mark from Sundown will be in soon to tell us about the season. We might even has some gift cards to give away!

See you on the slopes soon!
