Irish or not, there's a HUGE party happening in the Port of Dubuque at the Dubuque Star Brewery Alliant Amphitheater!

It's the 16th Annual Irish Hooley Music Festival and Jordan Larkin stopped by this morning to fill us in.

My first question for Jordan was "what's a hooley?"

She says the word is defined as a celebration of culture, celebration and dance... so throw in the word "irish" and voila... The Irish Hooley!

Tickets are available in advance today for $10 at Shamrock Imports, Premier Bank locations, Family Beer & Liquor Store, Happy's Place and Butt's Florist. You can also wait and buy them at the gate for $12. (Kids age 10 and under are FREE!)

The gates will open tomorrow morning at 11:30am and you'll find food and beverage vendors on site. At noon there will be an opening ceremony with a salute to our Military Veterans. The festivities will be hosted by a guitarist and singer from Belfast named Ian Gould, who will be interjecting with lots of comic relief and music through the day.

You'll see performances from the Dubuque Fire Pipe and Drum, McNulty School of Irish Dance, Ballyheigue, The Lads of Dubuque and the headliners at 8:30pm... Gaelic Storm, presented by Family Beer & Liquor.

This years event is made possible by Premier Bank, Family Beer & Liquor and McGrath Family of Dealerships.

It's supposed to be a sunny, hot day tomorrow, so if you're planning on celebrating all day, dress appropriately.

For more information you can find the Irish Hooley FACEBOOK PAGE or WEBSITE!

Bring your green and lets party this weekend!
