The Finley Hospital ‘Family Birthing Suites’ Open House This Weekend

There is a lot of exciting stuff happening at Unity Point Health/Finley Hospital at 350 North Grandview Avenue.

If you've driven by recently, you may have noticed some construction going on with a new building.

Inside, they've completed a year long extensive remodel of their 'Family Birthing Suites.'  New flooring, new artwork and fresh paint have give their facility a fresh, bright look and they're opening their doors to you this Sunday.  (5/3)

Their facility features a very tenured, experienced staff that will gladly meet all your needs during labor and postpartum.  They will educate new mothers during their stay and on an out-patient basis, too.

The 'family birthing suites' feature 12 LDRP rooms (which stands for labor, deliver, recover and postpartum.)  This means you're admitted to a suite and spend your entire stay there.

They even have overflow rooms for those really big weeks of baby booms.  (50 Shades of Grey came out in February, so who's to say November and December won't be really busy this year!)

If you're pregnant and you've got a care-provider, you can call up to the birthing suites and set up a private tour to see if the facility is right for you.

Sunday (5/3) Y105 will be live there for the open house from 1:30 to 3pm.  Stop in for raffles and gift bags for the first 100 moms and moms-to-be.  Enjoy refreshments and take a tour of the rooms, NICU and nursery.

If you're giving birth and are having anxiety, this is a chance to see what you're in for, meet the staff and get more comfortable with the surroundings.

If you're coming, pull into the ramp at Finley Hospital and watch for the signage.  The birthing suites are on the 3rd floor and greeters will be there to see you in.
