Just in time to round out a busy summer, the Bell Tower Theater is readying the premiere of a musical comedy sure to appeal to parents who have found their nest empty and their lives a bit more open than they have in a long time.

The Kids Left. The Dog Died. Now What? by Carole Caplan-Lonner is beginning its engagement at Dubuque's Bell Tower Theater on Friday, August 11th. Ticket sales have been hot, with the first two nights (August 11th and 12th) sold out, but there are still numerous dates available over the show's three week run.

Miki Robinson of Bell Tower Theater stopped by to talk about the upcoming production, which is a musical comedy that sends up the inevitable thing that faces all of us: aging.

A comedic salute to those struggling with the effects of gravity on their bodies, of grandchildren on their self-images and of the dating scene on their egos. This laugh-out-loud musical follows the day-to-day concerns of the over-fifty “empty-nesters” crowd, where the ultimate goal is aging gracefully.

The easiest way to purchase your tickets is via the Bell Tower Theater's website. When you click on shows, you'll see a color-coding that denotes the status of the show: red means the show is sold out; orange means the show is close to being sold out; green means plenty of tickets are available.
