What ‘Cha Gonna Do?

I’m glad my son enjoys music.  There are certain things that concern me about his growing interest in it.

“I love this song!”

That’s the thing we hear our 4-year old son saying all the time now.  At first I was excited, but then a few weeks ago he walked up to his mother (with a huge smile on his face) and asked her “What ‘cha gonna do with that big, fat butt?... Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle!”

At first I smiled and started to laugh.  Then I saw the look on my wife’s face.

He was singing the Jason DeRulo song ‘Wiggle.’  It’s a catchy song, but obviously the lyrics are a little questionable for a 4-year old boy.

I used to laugh when I would hear someone’s kid saying something adult, but now I feel like I have to keep a careful ear out for what he says.  Can you imagine if he says that to a teacher?
