Remember being a kid and having a deep fascination with all things locomotive? Or maybe that excitement and passion never left you.

Either way, your chance to embrace that love and be around others with the same interest is coming to La Crosse, WI on July 16th! The 31st Annual Rail Fair is being held at Copeland Park that Saturday from 10am to 4pm.

The Rail Fair is held by The 4000 Foundation, Limited, in partnership with the La Crosse Parks & Recreation Department. All proceeds from the event are used "to maintain and restore The La Crosse Short Line Railroad Heritage Museum in Copeland Park." The 4000 Foundation, Limited was established in 1989, and the Annual Rail Fair started all the way back in 1991.

The fair hosts vendors from six states, offering more than 250 tables of railroad-related merchandise. Model and antique trains, books, magazines, memorabilia, crafts, hobby supplies, and many more items will be available to purchase.

In addition, guided tours will be conducted at The La Crosse Short Line Railroad Heritage Museum. Tours of the steam locomotive, caboose, and Grand Crossing Tower will be conducted. Even the big seam locomotive whistle can be blown for a small donation.

The event is billed as "one of the premier summer railroad events in the Midwest."

Tickets are $5/each, and children under 12 get in for free with an adult.

You can find more information on the 31st Annual Rail Fair's Facebook page as well as The 4000 Foundation, Limited's official website. You can also reach out directly to Don Anthony at (608) 781-9383.

The next show is The Great Tri-State Rail Sale on Saturday, January 28th, 2023, held at The La Crosse Center at 2nd & Pearl Streets.
