Bell Tower Theater is going big for their 16th Annual Kids-for-Kids Summer Musical. The theater is putting on Cinderella, and is utilizing two different casts in order to be faithful to both the Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II versions of the popular story.

Miki Robinson of Bell Tower Theater stopped by the studio to talk about Cinderella, which runs from July 13th - July 23rd for both matinee and evening performances. In addition, Maggie Tebbe, a cast-member in the show, also spoke about her experiences working with Bell Tower as well as other theater productions:

Maggie Tebbe is part of the Rodgers cast, and plays the Wicked Stepmother. She spoke about how she didn't initially go for that role, but fell in love with the authoritarian nature of it:

Mostly, I wanted [to play] a stepsister, but when I got up for callbacks, I felt different when I was reading for the stepmother. I'm glad I got the stepmother [....] it's fun to push everyone around and think I have power when I don't.

The performers in both casts of Cinderella are between the ages of seven and 18. This is the first time the Bell Tower Theater has brought back a show for their kids-centric summer musical. Tickets are also a bargain at only $10, and can be purchased easily on Bell Tower Theater's website.
