Each week, the Dubuque Regional Humane Society is highlighting a "Pet of the Week." The Pet of the Week is available to be adopted via the Humane Society. This week, the Dubuque Regional Humane Society is highlighting another amazing four-legged friend.

This week, the Dubuque Regional Humane Society is highlighting a swath of bottle-fed kittens that have been under the care of one of the organization's foster coordinators. There are 15 bottle babies from four separate litters currently under their care.

Being that kittens under eight weeks are too young to thrive in a shelter, the selfless staff-members at Dubuque Humane Society have been taking turns bringing them home to give them food and supervision. These kittens are in urgent need of a cozy home. Time is of the essence.

Furthermore, the Dubuque Humane Society will support those who choose to take one or more of these kittens in with bottle-baby fostering equipment. They provide everything: formula, supplies, feeding and care training, and on-site vet support at no extra cost.

Neonate kittens need feedings roughly every two hours; weaning kittens need feeding every five-to-six hours. Even if you can't take these babies in long-term, arrangements to take one-or-more in for a night or two would make an enormous difference, and lessen the load on an already busy Dubuque Regional Humane Society Staff.

You can find out more about the Humane Society's foster program on their website.
