With the way things are going, I was pretty much expecting to hear there wouldn't be a fair this year... but I was wrong!

The Dubuque County Fair issued a press release yesterday informing the tristates there would be a fair this year with some modifications... so here is what you need to know.

It will be shortened to 4 days. The 67th Annual Dubuque County Fair will be held Thursday, July 30th to Sunday, August 2nd, 2020.

Most grounds entertainment has been postponed. This includes the midway, roaming acts and some competitions that can't be done while properly social distancing.

The mainstage concerts will be postponed. Existing ticketholders will have the option of keeping their tickets for the rescheduled dates or can request a refund within a 30-day window. (For full details check the FAIRGROUNDS WEBSITE or call 563-588-1406.

Events still planned include the Sprint Invaders and Open Wheel Races on Thursday night, the Demolition Derby on Friday night and the Fantasy Truck Pull and ECIPA Truck and Tractor Pull on Saturday. Sunday will feature the Julien Dubuque Classic Races.

There will be bands each day in the Festival Garden, exhibitors in the Exhibit Hall and delicious Fair food still available!

Yeah, it's kind of a bummer we don't get the full Fair experience this year... but hats off to the Dubuque County Fairgrounds crew for doing what they can to keep summer feeling normal all things considered!
