Are you ready to rock?!?! Friday (7/30) is 'Rock Day' at the 68th annual Dubuque County Fair!

All week I've been trying to give you a preview of what to expect each day if you're attending the fair. Let me break down Friday (7/30) for you.

Gates will open at 8am and things pick up right away at 9am with the 4-H/FFA auction of swine, sheep and meat goat.

At 10am the 4-H and Creative Arts Buildings open. Magician John Greene does the first of his shows (with other performances at 3pm and 7pm) under the Hy-Vee Big Top.

At 11am the Exhibit Hall opens and you can stop to see the Carve R Way Chainsaw Artist and the Reptile Adventures on the exhibit grounds.

At noon the 4-H/FFA Dairy Auction gets under way, followed by the Beef Auction at 12:30pm.

At 1pm the North American Midway Rides start selling their bracelets for $30, that can be used all the way up to 11pm.

At 2pm, Master Hypnotist Jim Wand does the first of his three shows under the Hy-Vee Big Top (with other shows at 4pm and 6pm).

At 4pm Dubuque Dance will be performing on the Blain's Stage in the Festival Garden.

At 6:30pm the Grandstand gates open for the rock show featuring Slaughter and Queensryche. The show gets under way at 7:30pm and there are still tickets available at the Fairgrounds box office.

If the kids are busy riding rides, mom and dad can enjoy themselves with live music from Hot Mess at 8pm on the Blain's Stage in the Festival Garden.

The weather is supposed to be beautiful so come on out for the fun... make sure you stop by and say hi to us broadcasting live by the Grandstand! Remember, you can find details on everything happening at the Dubuque County Fairgrounds WEBSITE!

See you there!
