Calm, Sweet Willow is Up for Adoption at Dubuque Humane Society

Each week, the Dubuque Regional Humane Society is highlighting a "Pet of the Week." The Pet of the Week is available to be adopted via the Humane Society. This week, the Dubuque Regional Humane Society is highlighting another amazing four-legged friend.

This week, the Humane Society is highlighting Willow, a five-year-old, 40-pound dog recovering from allergies as well as skin and fur issues. She has come a long way in a short amount of time, but still requires special care.

When Willow arrived at the Dubuque Regional Humane Society, she was greatly hindered by her skin and fur issues. She struggles with environmental and food allergies, so the staff put her on a plan that allowed for her to grow her fur back and feel like "an entirely new pup."

Willow is naturally calm in demeanor, but moves at a slow pace, so cuddles are a must for this cutie. She will happily indulge you for a nap on the couch.

Willow is also very curious about the world around her, which you'll notice if you take her on a walk. She's very good about walking on a leash, but she's very intrigued by new sights, smells, and more. Willow is also great with children and other dogs who have a calm temper just like her.
