Iowa's Largest Indoor Adventure Park is Now Building an Outdoor O

When you're already considered "Iowa's largest indoor adventure park," what's the next step? Go outside and put some shovels in the ground.

The Fun Station in Cedar Rapids revealed their plans for a pedal boat attraction, which will open before summer's end. The boats, billed as "Swan Pedal Boats," will sail on the property's one-and-a-half acre pond.

The Fun Looks to Expand at the Fun Station:

In addition to the Swan Pedal Boats, parkgoers will have access to a redesigned outdoor patio space and a designated fish-feeding zone on a boardwalk, which overlooks the pond.

In lieu of a multi-year expansion plan orchestrated by Edwards Entertainment Company, who owns the Fun Station chain, this ostensibly isn't the only upgrade the Cedar Rapids destination will be receiving in the near future:

About the Fun Station in Cedar Rapids:

After making its debut in the Cedar Rapids area on Collins Road, the Fun Station relocated to a new, 70,000-square-foot facility on Brighton Way SW in October 2025. The new facility has over 22 attractions, including:

Zip-line
Arcade
Climbing walls
Ropes course
Bumper cars
Mini-bowling
Mini-golf
A maza
Trampolines
Laser tag

Edwards Entertainment Group added that the incoming Swan Pedal Boats are a "very small part" of their overall vision for expanding the outdoor space adjacent to the indoor park. The pedal boats will also be affordable for families. The 20-minute ride can fit up to five people, and will run $6/rider, or $4 for Fun Station members.
