To say 2020 has been long and tough would be a tremendous understatement.

Coronavirus, killer bees and natures fury full of hurricanes and forest fires... it's been a lot to endure.

Day one of radio, they teach you not speak about politics or religion... ever. So I won't. That's not what this post is about.

Tomorrow we finally have a chance to have our voices heard on Election Day. You should exercise your civic duty and vote.

I don't care if you're a Republican or a Democrat, a Libertarian or Socialist. I don't care if you're voting for Kanye West just because you're a fan of Yeezus or The Life of Pablo.

The one point I'd like to make about the whole thing is simply this...

Respect someone else's opinion, even if you don't agree with them. We teach our children to respect others in life and yet I watch the manner in which people conduct themselves on social media and it shocks me.

People who dash someone else's thoughts with sarcasm and insults instead of conversation is disheartening to me.

It is near impossible to chat about your thoughts on a political figure or event without being blasted by someone... you need to have thick skin.

So go out tomorrow and do your thing.

It's your civic duty to vote, but it's our civic responsibility to respect the rights, beliefs and opinions of others... whether you agree or disagree.

Stay safe out there.
