There was a time not too recently when most people couldn't tell you what time of year the WNBA season took place. That all changed when Caitlin Clark took the basketball world by storm, and went on to get drafted first overall by the Indiana Fever. Clark's remarkable rookie year with the Fever has made Indiana games must-see TV, and the Fever one of the hottest tickets in sports.

Those who want to see the young, rising star return to her Iowa stomping grounds for a preseason match will have that opportunity with the Iowa Lottery. The Iowa Lottery is giving you the opportunity to see Clark's return to Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City, IA for a May 4th match between the Indiana Fever and the Brazilian National Team.

To talk about this huge contest — strictly for individuals 21-and-over — I chatted with Iowa Lottery CEO Matt Strawn. Strawn was enthusiastic in talking about this contest, fittingly called "Greatness Returns." It's a contest available via the IA Lottery VIP Club. The aforementioned May 4th contest between the Fever and the Brazilian National Team is one of three preseason match-ups the Fever will play in the month of May.

Strawn noted how the Iowa Lottery is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year too, and this contest provides a great way to give back to the state. It also shines more light on the magnitude of Clark's star-power. The reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year also recently appeared on David Letterman's Netflix show, My Next Guest Needs No Introduction.

Those who want to get in on the action for a chance at these tickets needs to act fast, for there is only a 10-day window to enter.

If you're not a member of the Iowa Lottery's free VIP Club, you can register at this link. Once you sign up, you'll receive details via email about how to enter the contest. Current VIP Club members have received entry instructions via email already, so check your inbox in case you missed it!

Each VIP Club member is limited to one entry in the contest. There is no purchase necessary to participate either. You have until 11:59pm on Thursday, April 24th to enter, with two winners to be selected and announced on April 25th. Again, you must be 21-and-over to play the Iowa Lottery and to enter this contest.

In our interview, Strawn noted how the Iowa Lottery remains committed to helping the citizens of the state in all that they do, particularly with the money to obtain from people purchasing lottery tickets, scratch-offs, and more:

When you go buy that $2 Powerball ticket and are dreaming about what you're going to do with that jackpot [....] some portion of that purchase, whether you win a prize or not, goes to good causes, like the Iowa Veterans Trust Fund, which benefits veterans all across the state [....] - Iowa Lottery CEO Matt Strawn, per our interview

Take a listen to my interview with Iowa Lottery CEO Matt Strawn below, and read more about the chance to witness Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever take on the Brazilian National Team at Carver-Hawkeye Arena on the Iowa Lottery's website.
