
Irish Hooley in Dubuque Plans to Get Even Bigger on the Back Waters Amp
Dubuque's premier Irish musical festival is set to return this Saturday, August 22nd, bring food, live music, dancing, and fun all in the name of celebrating the spirit of the Irish!
This year, the 21st Annual Irish Hooley is being held at a new event, not to mention a bigger one. It will be one of the first major events held at Q Casino + Resort's Back Waters Amp on Saturday, August 22nd. Kicking off at 11am, the day-long music festival features a number of bands playing traditional Irish music as well as numerous food trucks from the Tri-State area serving up delicious eats!

What is the Irish Hooley?:
Jordan Larkin and Jerry Feeney of the Irish Hooley stopped by to talk about all that is happening at the Back Waters Amp, and spoke about how the event is equal parts a celebration of Irish culture as well as music.
The Irish Hooley is one big celebration of Irish traditions: dancing, singing, music, friends, community, and family are all represented by a litany of different individuals who do their part to put on a memorable show.

Here's a breakdown of the entertainment that will be at the 21st Annual Irish Hooley. Gates open at 11am and the entertainment starts almost immediately, and continues till late in the evening.

Advanced tickets for the Irish Hooley are $20, and available to purchase at the following establishments. Kids age 10 and under get in for free:
Furthermore, it's worth noting that attendees are allowed to bring their lawn chairs to the Back Waters Amp for this event. Unlike concerts at the brand new Q Casino + Resort venue, being that the Irish Hooley is a general admission event, lawn chairs are permitted.
