Last month, I noticed something peculiar when searching for Kennedy Mall's Facebook page. I was instead being redirected to a page that was incessantly posting random, lovelorn, and heartbroken poetry. The whole thing was so bizarre I had to write about it.

There's good news for Kennedy Mall on the Facebook front, however. Plus, there's good news for Dubuque's premier mall on the business front, with one particular food-stand changing ownership in a unique wall, as well as a beverage spot opening later this month.

Kennedy Mall's New Facebook Page:

The mall has recently launched a brand new Facebook page you can find at this link. The previous Kennedy Mall Facebook page had amassed over 10,000 likes, so it's going to take some time for the establishment to regain its footing on the popular social media platform. However, being back in action is the first step.

Yesterday, I was broadcasting live at Kennedy Mall on 103.3 WJOD while getting people registered to win tickets for Cody Johnson's upcoming concert at The Vibrant Arena at The MARK in Moline, IL. I was privileged to be featured on one of the mall's first posts on their new Facebook page. 103.3 WJOD will be broadcasting at Kennedy Mall again on October 10th and October 11th from 12-1pm getting more people signed up to win!

A Change for Kennedy Mall's Auntie Anne's:

This is an exciting development for one of the most delicious spots in all of Kennedy Mall. Auntie Anne's, located in the mall's center square, will be having a ribbon cutting as a new owner takes over. Not only is the ownership new, the new face of the savory pretzel shop might be the youngest owner in the mall.

Auntie Anne's new owner is Caleb Keling, who recently graduated from Missouri Western State University merely months ago. Keling earned the Auntie Anne's franchise in a competition sponsored by Missouri Western's Center for Franchise Development, per a press release from Kennedy Mall:

Keling, from St. Joseph, Missouri, was a student in a senior-level Applied Business Ownership class this spring. Students in the class prepared business plans, and Keling presented his plan to a panel of judges, which awarded him the franchise. - per Kennedy Mall's press release

I got to meet Caleb during my live broadcast yesterday. He was super friendly, and even took the time to hop behind the register and help out his staff. Congratulations to him for making a splash so early in his business career. You can find Auntie Anne's in Dubuque on Facebook too!

Kennedy Mall Will Soon Have a Place for Boba Tea:

Kennedy Mall will also be welcoming another business, specifically an eatery, very soon. Bubbles Boba Tea will be opening just a few doors down from World Earth Superstore. It'll offer signature beverages in a variety of refreshing flavors, complete with chewy tapioca pearls at the bottom. They'll also serve flatbreads, salads, and wraps, per a press release from Kennedy Mall:

Bubbles Boba Tea originated as a food truck in Ohio. In 2022, the owner relocated to Iowa, where she now operates two locations in the Quad Cities area. It is anticipated that the new 875 square foot location in Kennedy mall will be open by late October. - per Kennedy Mall's press release
