Hands down. No question. My favorite purchase every year at the Dubuque Farmer's Market has to be Fincel's Sweet Corn. But if you were to ask me what comes in at number two...

There are so many great things to purchase and vendors to support at our local Farmer's Market. I'm always in awe at how many talented people we have in the Tristates.

As we walk through I love looking at the knitted hats, homemade bird houses and fresh produce that is available every Saturday.

After the 4fh of July my family's weekly purchase is always a dozen ears of delicious Fincel's sweet corn, that we usually enjoy with grilled hot dogs or BLTs at the Farber house.

One of my other favorite purchases is from Our Farm Meats in Elkader, Iowa. They usually have their trailer pulled up every Saturday in the parking lot south of City Hall. We often buy their excellent pepper bacon that adds a wonderful twist to your usual BLT sandwiches.

But the real treat is a pack of their honey pork sticks with pineapple. I can't get enough of these! We usually buy one pack to munch on while we walk through the market and one pack to nibble on throughout the week.

Not that I'm a sophisticated foodie, but I can tell you that you get the salt from the pork and the sweet from the pineapple that gives these an incredible taste!

I know there are so many great eats and treats at Farmer's Market, but this is absolutely one of my favs... be sure to check them out next time you're walking through.

If you want to see some of their other great items I've attached a link HERE to their website.

Bon Appétit!
