The Dubuque Fighting Saints have formally recognized Chad & Jodie Truitt as a USHL Billet Family of the Year, according to a recent press release from the organization. Every season, teams from around the USHL spotlight families that have made an incredible commitment to the health and safety of the players they house.

The Truitts have been a host family for the Dubuque Fighting Saints organization for the past six seasons. Housing players for multiple seasons, or even just for short times. They have always been there for their players no matter what.

Amy Edwards, the Saints’ housing coordinator stated, “While all of our billet families in Dubuque are exceptional, the Truitts certainly deserve this distinction. Chad and Jodie have been dedicated to our program for years; they are reliable and devoted to our players and they are valuable assets to the Dubuque Fighting Saints organization,”

The coaching staff continues to notice their incredible dedication. Fighting Saints assistant coach Evan Dixon has said that, “whether it be at home or on the road, the first family I often see is the Truitts. They are so supportive of the Dubuque Fighting Saints and the players that they provide a home for. They have taken players in from around the world and at any point of the season. They are a family that we can count on, and I know that the players that have lived there can say the same thing.”

The Fighting Saints organization says they are proud of the strong dedication that the Truitt family has shown towards the team and looks forward to a long and fruitful partnership with the family for many years to come.
