Q Casino + Resort’s Grand Opening for Several New and Renovated Spaces is Set

Just in time for a busy summer of concerts, Q Casino + Resort has announced more details on their highly anticipated grand opening of their newly renovated casino, showroom, and several other adjoining spaces. This announcement, and event, coincides with Memorial Day weekend and the upcoming free Friday concert, Kickoff 2 Summer, which will take place at the venue.

Q Casino + Resort has long been Dubuque and the Tri-States' premier destination for gaming and live entertainment on their Back Waters Stage. This summer alone, Q Casino is welcoming a litany of artists across all genres, including Billy Currington, Ice Nine Kills, Riley Green, and Lil Jon, just to name a few.

What are the Upgrades?:

Q Casino + Resort's grand opening will take place May 24th – 27th, 2024, and the public is invited to see the results of the sweeping, $83 million-plus renovation and expansion project first announced back in January 2023, per a press release from Q Casino.

This marks the completion of Phase 2 of the overall project, which includes:

• A remodel of the existing lower casino
• An upgraded center bar and lounge with bar-top slot machines
• New casino games
• Updates to the Q Showroom with an enhanced, state-of-the-art sound system and VIP area
• The new Q Sports Book and Island Social Kitchen + Bar

The Island Social Kitchen + Bar Will Set the Mood for the Chaplain Schmitt Island:

One of the big elements in this grand opening is the Island Social Kitchen + Bar, which will play a pivotal role in the "Island Social family entertainment venue" that will open later this year. It offers an elevated menu in a lively environment, complete with large TVs and video walls through the entire venue, a wide variety of crafted cocktails, and a menu of Americana-inspired food, desserts, and more.

Oh, Yes: There Will Be Giveaways!:

Beyond all the slick new upgrades, renovations, and additions, guests will have the opportunity to play more than 50 new slot games and enter to win some awesome prizes, including:

• 2023 Dodge Charger SXT AWD (being given away on Saturday, May 25th)
• 2024 Dodge Hornet R/T EAWD (being given away on Sunday, May 26th)
• $500 giveaway every 30 minutes from 10am to 6pm as part of the "Hot Seats" promotion

Renovations Will Continue Even After Memorial Day:

Q Casino + Resort's renovation and expansions will continue even after this weekend, and should be completed during 2025. The recent groundbreaking ceremony for The Key Hotel, a boutique property in the Tapestry Collection by Hilton, is part of Phase 4. The fourth phase will include a new rooftop restaurant to be announced at a later date.
