Santa and Mrs. Claus Bring Christmas Magic to Dubuque Kwik Stop (PHOTOS)
"Free Santa Day" was underway at Kwik Stop/Dairy Queen on Pennsylvania Avenue and the NW Arterial on Saturday, December 3rd. It was a fun-filled morning of kids and adults stopping by the store, and the adjoining Dairy Queen, to get their picture taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus!
Kwik Stop representatives took photos for families, but parents themselves were permitted to take photos of their kids too, which made the event easy and accessible. Santa and Mrs. Claus were set up in the Kwik Stop's adjoining Dairy Queen. In addition, Free Santa Day served as an opportunity for people to make a donation to "Magical Kwik Stop Christmas."
Sort of like an extension of their Kwik Care program — where a non-profit is selected each month and is the recipient of donations from Kwik Stop and Dairy Queen customers throughout that month — "Magical Kwik Stop Christmas" looks to help families this holiday season. This year, they're looking to provide 22 people with 10 gifts each. You can make a donation at all area Kwik Stops via spare change, rounding up your purchase total, or purchasing a paper stocking!
The folks at Kwik Stop always go above and beyond in helping make this community a generous and prosperous one. Free Santa Day was a big success as many kids showed up to take photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Both Y105 and 103.3 WJOD were on-site broadcasting for the duration of the event (9am - 1pm).
You can see some photos from Free Santa Day in the gallery below! Thanks to all who stopped out, said hi to me, and got photos with the big man in red!
