FDA Announces Recall of Shredded Cheese in Illinois and Wisconsin
Various brands of shredded cheese sold at major retailers such as Target, Walmart, and Aldi, have been recalled across 31 states and Puerto Rico.
The recall, issued by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), was issued back on October 3rd, but recently updated to a Class II risk level, which is the second-highest for a recall. That means that while chances of serious health consequences are "remote," there is a possibility of temporary or reversible effects, per Health.com.
