It seems as if allergy season is now year-round. For some, it goes beyond the occasional sniffling and sneezing. Dry eyes, sinuses, and other inhibitors can be debilitating for those who suffer from chronic allergies. Thankfully, some relief is here and local; especially for those in southwestern Wisconsin.

Southwest Health has announced their ENT is now offering allergy testing to patients. Adult Southwest Health patients can make consultations to determine if they should be tested for environmental allergies. The news was announced via a press release from Southwest Hospital:

Southwest Health’s full-time ENT, Kyle Quillin, DO, will discuss one-on-one with patients if allergy testing is appropriate. If people suspect they have mild to moderate allergies or have been referred by their primary care provider, they can now be tested and treated close to home.

Kyle Quillin is Southwest Health's full-time ENT. He will see patients who request allergy testing in the Specialty Clinic. His otolaryngology residency encompasses allergies, and he has completed additional training through the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allery. As such, he can now offer testing, education, and treatment plans to fit each person's unique needs and/or working and living environments.

This is an exciting development for the community. If people suspect they have mild to moderate allergies, or have been referred by their primary care provider, they can now be tested and treated close to home.

In addition, Southwest Health welcomes a new member to their Specialty Clinic: Katie Ponsler, PA-C. Ponsler will transition from providing family medicine care in the Platteville Clinic to the ENT, where her and Quillin will provide care and treatment for patient with specific ear, nose, and throat concerns.
