One of the most unconventional and outside-the-box country singers, who boasts over 9.8 million followers on TikTok, will be performing in Dubuque this fall, adding to his growing list of cities for his ongoing tour.

This week, it was revealed that Cooper Alan will be performing at the Five Flags Center in Dubuque on Thursday, September 19th, 2024. Alan has garnered an army of millions of fans on TikTok thanks to his engaging videos, which feature everything from his friends goofing around to him seeking opinions on a snippet of a song he's just recorded.

Fans of Cooper Alan know it's not uncommon for him to "trial" a song, so to speak. He'll post about a 15-20 second snippet of it and ask viewers for their thoughts. This typically leads to the single dropping on various music platforms in the following days.

Alan doesn't have an album as of yet, but he has a plethora of singles, and last year, he dropped Take Forever, a five-track EP that told the real-life story behind his wedding. The EP ends with the titular track, "Take Forever (Hally's Song)," a romantic number that remains his most popular to-date on Apple Music.

Alan's willingness to buck the trend of country music and involve his fans with his recording has made his ascension appear rapid. He came on my radar in late 2022, and he's someone I find myself listening to semi-regularly because I never quite know what to expect.

For example, he did a country remix of Afroman's famously filthy hip-hop song "Colt 45." He took the melody of a stomping sea shanty and gave it country lyrics in his song "To the Bar." He's young, fearless, and has the ability to make connections with his fans — one of the most important things any type of creator can do aside from making quality art.

The Winston-Salem, NC with a deceptively thick voice fit for crooning or partying has already mustered over 225 million streams and more than 14 million followers across all his social media platforms. This summer, he'll be busy touring all across the United States and Canada, and Dubuquers will be able to get a taste of what he's all about on September 19th.

Tickets for Cooper Alan's show at the Five Flags Center will go on sale Friday, June 14th. In the meantime, you can keep yourself busy perusing Alan's library of videos on TikTok and following his music on Spotify!
