Each week, the Dubuque Regional Humane Society is highlighting a "Pet of the Week." The Pet of the Week is available to be adopted via the Humane Society. This week, the Dubuque Regional Humane Society is highlighting another amazing four-legged friend.

This week, the Humane Society is highlighting a nine-and-a-half-year-old dog named Buster (aka Ted), a 77-pound senior dog in search of his forever home.

Don't let his age deceive you. Buster is a fun-loving dog who enjoys playing and romping around with toys. He is ruff and tumble, with "keep-away" and "tug-of-war" being his two favorite games. He's very friendly when it comes to new people, and that includes children as well.

Buster doesn't let his age slow him down, and he's also crate and potty-trained to boot. While he is dog selective, and has connected better with female dogs in the past, he has been around children and cats with a friendly demeanor. He can be strong on leash, and is looking for an active yet cozy home in which to settle.

With a $125 adoption fee, Buster is looking to live out his glory/golden years in his forever home.

Unrelated to Buster, but worth mentioning, I wrote about Dubuque Regional Humane Society's medical fund last week. You can find out more about how it helps pets of all backgrounds, and you can make a donation at this link. You can also find out more about becoming a foster parent on their website.
