This Easygoing Dog Would Make a Wonderful Addition to Your Home

Each week, the Dubuque Regional Humane Society is highlighting a "Pet of the Week." The Pet of the Week is available to be adopted via the Humane Society. This week, the Dubuque Regional Humane Society is highlighting another amazing four-legged friend.

This week, the Humane Society is highlighting Hugo, a two-year-old, 74-pound dog in search of his forever home. It is clear to the Humane Society that Hugo isn't loving the shelter environment. He's showing signs of stress and is becoming overwhelmed at times. He needs a loving home with consistent occupants who are happy to welcome him into the family.

More About Hugo:

Despite the stress the shelter environment is causing him, Hugo is remaining sweet throughout all of it. He's a quiet, chill dog who likes to go about life at his own pace. He's very easygoing and patient with the staff, and does enjoy playing with other dogs. The Humane Society calls him "amazing" and "well-mannered" in play-groups, which shows he is a bit wise above his ears.

He's also proving to be very precocious. He picks up commands with ease, loves learning and showing off new tricks, and very responsive when asked to "sit," "shake," or go "down."
