Hy-Vee Reveals The Trendiest Easter Candies in 2026

Easter is rapidly approaching, and parents are busy constructing treat-filled baskets for their kids. If you ever wondered what the most popular Easter candies are, Hy-Vee has you covered.

In a recent release, Hy-Vee named five of the trendiest candies this holiday season. In a surprise to me, as someone who likes to venture down the candy aisle every now and then, I wasn't aware of the one of the most popular candies this year. I actually had to Google it.

Limited Edition Hershey's Kisses are the Favorite This Year:

When I saw "Butterbeer Hershey's Kisses" at the top of Hy-Vee's list, I assumed that Butterbeer was the name of a Hershey parent company. That's not the case at all. Butterbeer is actually a specific flavor of crème, and it's the key ingredient in these special Kisses. The flavor is a reference to Harry Potter, known for its creamy, butterscotch texture. It's also the name of a popular non-alcoholic drink tied to the series.

Jolly Rancher, Kit Kat, and Twizzlers' Limited Edition Offering:

It appears that multiple brands are electing to release limited edition candies in time for Easter this year. #2 on Hy-Vee's list is Jolly Rancher Easter Gummies, which give the traditional, fruit-flavored hard candy a chewy twist. Rounding out the top three are Kit Kat Bunnies, which honestly might be my pick for this list. Instead of a thin wafer, these Kit Kats are thicker and shaped like bunnies.

Here's how the last two slots on the list shake out:

• #4: Twizzlers Bunnies: tiny, bunny-shaped pieces of licorice
• #5: Cadbury Mini Eggs and Crème Eggs, Lindt Gold Bunnies, Reese’s Eggs, and Reese's Peanut Butter Bunnies
