Pete Holmes Will Keep ‘Crashing’ on HBO Through Season 2

Far be it for us to take every title literally, but it doesn’t look like Pete Holmes will be escaping homelessness anytime soon. The HBO comedian’s standup Crashing comedy will be back for Season 2, and will need a new partner after Girls.

HBO confirmed that the Pete Holmes-Judd Apatow comedy would return for Season 2, albeit without specifying any change from the eight-episode order, or a potential 2018 airdate. “Pete and Judd have proven to be the ultimate ambassadors for the standup comedy world,” said HBO Programming EVP Amy Gravitt. “I’m delighted by the response to the show and am thrilled to welcome them back for a second season.”

The semi-autobiographical series follows Pete as “a sheltered suburbanite who married his childhood sweetheart and dreams of making it as a stand-up comedian. But when he finds out his wife is cheating on him, Pete’s world unravels, forcing him to reevaluate his priorities and plunging him into the deep end of the rough-and-tumble New York comedy scene.”

Also starring are Lauren Lapkus, George Basil, and stars Dave Attell, Hannibal Burress, Artie Lange, T.J. Miller, Jim Norton, Rachael Ray and Sarah Silverman as themselves. Catch the latest Crashing teaser below, and stay tuned.
