It's been a big year for Southwest Health in Platteville. From expanding EMS services to breaking ground on a new clinic, the highly rated hospital has been laser-focused on ongoing improvements. In the true spirit of the holidays, Southwest Health is also focused on giving back, and they've just made a significant donation.

Per press release, Southwest Health has announced they've donated over $4,000 directly to Family Advocates in Platteville. Every year, Southwest Health hosts a silent auction and raffle (everything employee donated). This year, Southwest Health employees raised $4,458.13, good enough to be the most money raised in the auction's history.

Southwest Health presented Family Advocates with their donation at the construction site of their new facility on Eastside Road. The two entities will soon be neighbors once construction is completed.

This generous donation from Southwest Health and their employees will help Family Advocates continue to provide vital community services to the tri-county area. - Terri Fugate-Slapak, Southwest Health's Emergency Department Director and Family Advocates Board President, per press release

This donation will significantly contribute to Family Advocates and their mission to eradicate abuse. Family Advocates provides prevention and intervention services to victims and survivors of domestic, sexual, child, and elder abuse in Grant, Iowa, and Lafayette counties.
