FDA Announces Tuna Recall in Illinois and Wisconsin
A canned tuna recall is impacting two of the Tri-States over concerns of botulism, per the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
This week, it was announced that Tri-Union Seafoods was recalling several different cans of their tuna due to a packaging defect involving their "easy open" pull tabs. Due to the defect, the product seal might end up being compromised in the long-run, causing it to leak or become contaminated with the bacteria known for causing botulism (Clostridium botulinum).
